In the summer transfer window, Real Madrid missed Kylian Mbappé, which meant that the Madrid club eventually tried to loan Edinson Cavani to Manchester United. It did not succeed either, but now Real are looking at the United Uruguayan again.

According to the media El Nacional, the Spanish capital club, led by President Florentino Perez, will press on until January to convince United to loan Cavani for six months. The reason why Real have no plans other than to loan Cavani the last half of this season is due, according to Football Espana, that the Madrid club next summer will chase either Mbappé or Erling Braut Håland.

After Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Manchester United, Cavani has only had a single Premier League match from the start. In total, Cavani has since switched on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain last summer, playing 43 United matches. It has thrown 17 goals off.
