Some scenes not typically seen on a football pitch happened when Glentoran and Coleraine played in the best Northern Irish series, the NIFL Premiership, on Saturday night.

Glentoran were ahead 2-1 and were actually on their way to a victory, but in the 80th minute Cathair Friel equalized for the away team, and then hell broke loose for the home team goalkeeper Aaron McCarey.

Right after the goal, he sprinted over to his teammate Bobby Burns, who had lost the ball on their half of the field. McCaret struck out after Burns and ended up hitting him in the face.

That resulted in a direct red card, so Glentoran played the rest of the match with ten men and the match ended with the numbers 2-2.
