My View on Auto voting and Manual Voting
Having a successful engagement in all communities comes from the level of impact the member's are willing to contribute to the community, honestly I sincerely hope and believe that having members that has long time vision is one thing that is very important and vital and to me this will contribute to the development of the community.
One thing am very much concern about as a new user, especially after staking my first ever reward in the community is that the CURATION decision of the community members has a long way to go in helping growth system in the community.
Honestly right now my POB power and other communities power are still very low,but using them to me is very important as that is one way I can contribute for now and get to grow more in the community.for now am still very much particular about the proofofbrain community as that is where am more used to.
Recently lot of new development are coming to showcase themselves on the platform which as indeed give me one thought that the best is still yet to come and it is good to see that the proofofbrain is becoming very promising,base on my opinion it rapid growth too didn't just come easily,it as to do with lot of engagement, cause since have been on the platform have noticed that engagement is a very vital instrument to the community development.
Have been able to access some engagement group here and honestly it is good to see how well it is cause without engagement ,no community will survive silence of it members,but base on my own opinion,I sincerely think lot should be done In order to give credit to members who engage well enough daily.
For a while now I do see the daily updates of @friendlymoose as regards how individuals engage and how they are rewarded especially when it comes to content written too,but my major look on that, was that of numbers of engagement too.
How well do people get rewarded while they engage in the community, apart from the fact that they have their names on the list as the user with most engagement,what else do they get in return,just asking though?
Curating Manually For Engagement
I sincerely think @proofofbrainio and other user's concern should do something about curation while it comes to engagement.I might be wrong with this opinion and I stand to be corrected on this,most users who engage well enough are not good at posting of content at all,am of the opinion that not everyone can write articles.
So what is the hope of those who engage alone
I sincerely believe that at times engagement rewards at times might bring fraudulent act ,as some user's might only be doing it for rewards sake or Looking for a means of manipulation too,but I think curating Manually , most especially for users on the list often and often is not a bad motive.even though have never been on the list before.
I sincerely notice that some user's as won the hearts of some people in the community and irrespective of what they post or comment made by them they get upvoted for it,I sincerely noticed that it is the work of bot or what I see as auto voting which am one way against a little bit.
Come to look at it this way , what is the hope of a new users in this auto voting system and do everyone get rewarded via this Means.?
To me curating manually give you the room to understand and see what a specific users as passed through before relating his/her message ,it also gives room for you to see how well structured their works are.
I know that curating manually might look hard to some users and that is what they have listed some trusted users to get upvoted at anything they do,but what is the efficient of those works at times,do we ever consider that.
To me curating manually helps the community a lot and it makes it clear for us all to know who is who and who is doing the job well enough.am not saying their should be an end to auto voting or an end to the trust we have in some users,but my view is this:

Auto and manual votes are both important, and can be used positively and negatively.
As much as I think engagement should be incentives, there is more to it than just getting rewarded. For one, you get to build relationships which will impact your earning chances positively.
As with every social platform, new entrants struggle to find their place. They tend to do more work to create exposure for themselves and gain the trust of the community. So there is a lot at play here.
Definitely that's something have come to understand too of recent,it will require alot sincerely.To get people's trust is not a day job boss,but will keep on doing my best , hopefully it will be my turn too one day.

On this account, it's all manual. It gives me an opportunity to review the articles myself and provide any engagement I feel would add to the author's conversation. Manually curating is important to me, but it also takes a lot of time.
People using auto-votes responsibly tend to not have time to sit down and read through everything. That's understandable. You have to pick out the process that is best for you. If the POB community decided that auto-curations were the way to go, I would still follow my own path.
The important part of your conversation is relaying that the option, and importance, of manual voting, shouldn't be dismissed. Instead, it should be discussed and promoted like, for instance, in the manner you are following.
Definitely,that is one thing I also believe in and it is good to see that you are of the opinion of curating contents and comments manually,to me that is just one of the best way to actually gives credit to those who are putting their very best to make sure engagement keeps on going here.
Am not saying auto voting is totally bad too,but just that it is not an efficient way of giving rewards at times and I stand to be corrected on this opinion too.
I sincerely see manual curation as the way forward irrespective of how demanding it might be interms of reading contents and other things that are involved.

Manual voting would surely be better than auto voting because with manual voting you get to see what the person has put down and that would make you more fascinated or turned off depending on what the person posted and that would make an individual decide if the post is worth the upvote.
Definitely and it is good to see that you are of that opinion,I noticed that even user's with good content at times don't get upvoted,maybe as a result of not being enlisted by some users to get auto vote from them.
But with manual voting,I want to believe that everything will be fair.
