Steem Makes Me Almost NOTHING!

For me, Hive and Blurt have been far more profitable than Steem since the fork and I've been making almost nothing on my posts on Steem. It's crazy to see that at one time I was growing on Steem.

When I first came onto Steem it was in the early days of Steem when Ned was still around. I was mostly with a group of libertarians who shared political and societal posts with some personal posts thrown in. We supported each other and met some people during a time when Steem was valued highly.

As time went on, more of my acquaintances left Steem and then the Justin Sun drama came in and almost all of my friends left Steem's/Hive's ecosystem. As Steem was losing influence, I took Hive more seriously and joined the Weedcash community where I found my footing. From that point onward, the value of Steem fell and my earnings fell with it. My content on Steem rarely gets upvoted now, and if it does get upvoted, it's by some old regulars.

Hive and Blurt have been far better for me because of the communities that I've spent time with on both platforms. To be honest, I haven't really engaged with the communities that are left on Steem's platform. Yet, I'm not quitting on Steem, I still value it as a necessary platform for free speech, just like Hive and Blurt. Times sure have changed since Blurt, Steem, and Hive were all together, but the diversity can help in the long run.

Steem was great once upon a time, but given time the earnings can be plentiful.
