Progressives Pretend To Be Inclusive, But Then Call Latinos 'Latinx'

On TikTok, I've been having conversations with progressives about how 'Latinx' is an encroachment and a mockery of Latino culture. Most of the time, many Latinos, even if they disagree with some aspects of what I discuss, generally these people accept the truth that Latinx is mocking our culture, or at the very least not actually a part of the Latino community.

The ones who firmly push back against me aren't other Latinos (after I educate them on the Spanish language's epicenity), but 'white' progressive Americans who didn't even bother to understand the Spanish Language or our culture. These people come from a place of ignorance and they defend their ignorance with some self-righteous 'protection' of the trans community. Explaining to them that the Spanish language has epicenity leads them to believe that people can call themselves 'latinx' if they wish. They can't argue on the basis of the standards of our culture, so they then fall back on the idea that they can believe what they believe about themselves.

So in essence, they support expanding the confusion of people's own identity instead of actually educating them on the culture they claim to be a part of. If Latinx is a culture group, then Latinx isn't Latino and never was. If Latinx isn't a cultural group, then it is nothing more than a mockery and encroachment of Latino culture. It is ONE or the other.

Either Latinx people are Latinos using a term that mocks their culture, or they are not Latino and they are distinctly different from us. There is no going around these two prevailing thoughts because these two thoughts are consistent.

Progressives want to confuse Latinos, not educate them properly. I've talked about this before, but there are still many young Latinos and mostly 'white' Americans who defend this new-age concept.
