Joe Biden Expands NATO vs Russia Tension By Activating US Military Reserves
Joe Biden has now approved activating US military reserves to support Operation Atlantic Resolve. This move inches us closer to a serious conflict with Russia and further involvement in Ukraine’s defensive war against Russia.
Operation Atlantic Resolve is a series of military activities in response to increased tension caused by the Russians in Ukraine after the annexation of Crimea. It was first authorized under Barack Obama’s administration and has continued into Donald Trump’s presidency. However, Joe Biden has recently expanded it by approving the deployment of reservists to Europe. NATO allies are also involved in the operation, but they have not contributed as much as the Americans have.
It is reported that 3,000 reservists will be deployed to Europe to enhance training in the region. However, this clear escalation of conflict between NATO allies and Russia regarding the Ukrainian conflict raises concerns. The United States has provided over $40 billion in aid to Ukraine, and there will be approximately 25,000 US troops stationed in Europe as these reservists arrive to Europe.
