I'm Suspended | Reflecting On My Experience With Latino TikTok Community
It's that time again when my TikTok gets suspended for a week for being a little 'based'. This time, I want to talk about the shift on TikTok, at least when it comes to people following me.
Some people on the left who are Latinos agree with many of my views, especially when it comes to welfare reform and immigration reform. The vast majority of them are hooked and on my side when it comes to "Latinx", which is one of those issues that really get people's attention. I think I have successfully built a bridge that can unite some Latino conservatives with some Latino 'progressives'.
On TikTok, I prioritize the discussion regarding some Latino issues and I speak on pushing the government to prioritize the Latino and indigenous American communities. Nationalists, 'activists' and some independents like the rhetoric I share out with a few outliers who happen to be anti-Latino, anti-nationalist, and anti-capitalist. I feel a shift on TikTok, at least when I stream, that the Latino community is missing a strong unifying voice. I am not saying that I am that voice, but if I can help change the mind of younger Latinos to support their community and others, then I know I'm gaining some momentum.
