Another Successful Day in the Garden

My niece and I went out again today, like we do every day, to work on the garden. We had a nice day with each other outside, although there wasn't much to do. It was cloudy today and yesterday it had already rained so we did some minimal things around the garden.

My niece, Cecilia (@cicixrose), loves being outside. She tells me every day that she wants to go outside, so we pretty much go whenever she asks. Sometimes when it's raining, we still go outside, but not if there is a major storm. She absolutely loves the outdoors.

The plant you're seeing here is the zucchini plant which is just about ready to start growing exponentially with its second and third true leaves coming up. By Monday, I believe the largest leaves will be about 6 inches to a foot long protruding from the central stem.

The only thing we did today was water some of the plants we had in the front garden. We didn't drown them since it had rained yesterday, but we gave them a nice little helping of it for the times when it was sunny for a few hours.
