3 Out of 4 Voters in Florida Support Legalizing Marijuana

A poll came out from the University of North Florida which wanted to know if people would support policies that permit "legally possess small amounts of marijuana for recreational use."

In Florida, cannabis is medically legal but more and more young people support more economically liberal policies compared to elderly adults. Florida is a conservative state and is primarily ran by Republicans, but many younger Republicans also support economically liberal policies regarding cannabis.

76% of those who participated in the poll stated that they strongly or somewhat support these policies. Only 20% of them oppose the general concept. This is a major improvement of a similar poll from the same university in 2019. This new poll saw a 19 point increase in support of more economically liberal policies. If Republicans begin supporting more capitalist policies for Cannabis, we may see the beginning to the end of the Drug War in Florida, at least when it comes to cannabis-related products.
