Random Tune of the Day

White Stripes - Seven Nation Army (Adam Freeland Remix)

Random Quote of the Day

“Family is the most important thing in the world." Diana, Princess of Wales

I have started this competition in the hope that it will prove to be a fun and interesting way to get people to interact and engage with each other here on #proofofbrain. After all that's what it is all about.

It could be about anything really, ranging from a memorable quote to a story or maybe just a random question about life itself. Literally any subject is open for discussion but I will try and not let it get too crazy !

You are also welcome to talk about any other random subject you like.

To enter the competition you simply have to make any type of comment on this post and I will do a daily random draw for 3 lucky winners.

You are not required to Upvote, Re-Blog or Follow but it would be quite nice. 😁

If you really want to show support for #rtotd you can always use the promote button on on any of my daily posts and burn a #pob or two to get the post more exposure 😉

Prizes

1st Place = 5 POB + 1 Upvote
2nd Place = 1 POB + 1 Upvote
3rd Place = 0.50 POB + 1 Upvote

I will also be giving out free Love, Beer + Pizza daily to any comments I really like.

Congratulations To Yesterdays Winners

1st Place - @mineopoly
2nd Place - @sofs-su
3rd Place - @samsmith1971

I use https://www.random.org/ to pick the winner with TRUE RANDOMNESS !!

RANDOM.ORG offers true random numbers to anyone on the Internet. The randomness comes from atmospheric noise, which for many purposes is better than the pseudo-random number algorithms typically used in computer programs

Rules - Respect and Be Respected (P.L.U.R.)

Thanks for reading. #rtotd

Peace, Graham.

How often do you go out of your way to help someone?

To help and to be helped is part of life ,but thier are times that we do those things even when it is not convenient or we might be at the bad receiving end at times,I will be very honest with you that thier are times I do favor for pepe and I still get blamed or punished for it, honestly I don't feel bad about be at the receiving end most cases, cause I see it as an avenue to help people even when it is not going my way and I must say that I don't even think about it,all I think about is helping others irrespective of what might happen, but of all just as I do say thier is a place of common sense in all will do in life.

Before in I really talk about the topic I want to commend you for a job well done and haven't been a winner on one or two occasion here makes me feel better too, which means have been part of the good job done by you and I want to say that am very happy to see that this contest is nearing it 50th edition boss,,thumb up for that boss

How often do you go out of your way to help someone?

Might not really have much to say.on this cause I always believed much in helping people in life no matter what nut takes and I will say that most times I do that I don't really think about what is going to happen to me as a person, all my focus is on making sure that such soul is happy and doing well and most times I see that as an avenue to be of impact to people life ,so I will say I do go out of my comfort zone to help and just like @houseofdavid said too, common sense too should not be overlooked while helping those in need.

Family is the most important thing in the world." Diana, Princess of Wales

Looking at this also I will say that I strongly agreed with this that family is the best thing that can happen to us in life, like I so much believe in that,no matter the level of rejection you get out there you won't get it at all from family and let me say that it is true that some family might be bad or not really Caring, but the fact that you are from thier will always give you the chance or freedom of expression among them no matter the level or circumstances

I've missed out in this contest a lot because of so many activities offline but I hope I'm back for good and would be participating and look forward to coming editions and also the big day 😃

How often do you go out of your way to help someone?

I don't think I've really gone out of my way to help someone except I'm not having the fifth thought about it to remind myself of any.

I just make sure to help so long I'm capable of giving such help, I remember sharing the only food I have with someone and he was so grateful but I felt happy to be eating with someone so I was also grateful to him.

Maybe I just find happiness in helping someone so I don't get to notice I go out of my way to help the person. I feel bad not being able to be of help to someone in need but I always try to substitute for it - I want to be sure you understand - I find who to give help if I'm unable to.

I'm torn between wanting to do what I can to help my fellow man, but also never be taken advantage of like a sucker. So the answer for me is "sometimes".

Yeah i know what your saying man... When i see people begging on the street i tend not too give them anything coz i know they are gonny buy hard drugs with it..!! But it will still stop and chat sometimes to try and help in some way. Maybe buy them something to eat or just to acknowledge them.

Yeah I think acknowledging someone and treating them as though they're the same as anyone else (just without a safe home situation). I had to be on the street for a few months on and off with my wife in 2016 and 2017, in Vancouver. We weren't dirty, or begging, just couldn't find anywhere to rent in that crazy housing market. The worst was when people treat you differently for no reason. As soon as you're homeless or poor or disabled or whatever, people really change how they see you and treat you. So it's probably a very nice thing when you acknowledge people who aren't doing well. :)

A lot of times I've tried to do the little I can to help others. Sometimes I don't even make it so obvious, because I feel you don't help others because you want to be appreciated for it, you help because it's the right thing to do.

Congrats to the previous winners, @mineopoly always manages to be on the winners list everytime, haha, how does he do it?

How often do you go out of your way to help someone? As often as i could

As often as the need be, there was this particular time, during my school days a brother in law to my sister whom I never met before got stranded his first day in my school the day he came for his admission offer.
I had to leave my off campus a room apartment for him and go squat with my best friend for a whole week before he was able to secure his own accommodation.

Going out of the well to help people in our community really works. Every day I go out of my way to help people at school and at church. Soon enough those same people go out of the way to help me or someone else goes out of the way to help me. I am deeply moved by their service and I help others...

But on the street this is a little different story. You know just as well as I do how many people will burn you the moment they get a chance. But there as some people who just need a hand, especially the elderly. Somehow they take on loads that are more than they can carry. They need a hand getting off the bus or just an encouraging smile.

I don't know what I would do if someone needed emergency care like CPR. I am trained but I never directly used it on a human before. I just hope somebody else was around a little more qualified than me. (embarrassed) ⚆ _ ⚆

Man we are getting really close to the 50!!! Exciting!

Ooofff I will have to admit that I don't go out of my way to help others often enough. I am actually still feeling guilty is what I realize at the moment. I switched jobs this summer, leaving my old school for a new one and I had to leave a kid that really needs a lot of help. I have been his tutor for two years, in which I tried to help him as much as I could, but it was not enough and I know me leaving will mean a step back for him, makes me sad. But I tell myself I cannot get too involved either... It's a fine line between doing everything you can and doing too much
