Indoor + Outdoor Grow Diary Day 237 - Off-Grid Solar Powered LED Grow - Water Wars Averted
Hey folks, Graham here again with another update on the grow.
So i managed to sort out water problem buy getting a loan of a petrol powered pump from a good friend and i am now pumping it straight out the river.
I had been carrying water back n forward for days there and it was killing me.
Thats us well sorted now. Just need to keep our big containers full. Our main one is 1000 Litres :)
We need to build a swimming pool though so we can use it to store more water. The river can dry up completely some years around august which is not good.
Now i can water everything properly including all the veg n trees n stuff which has been neglected.
Got another big problem now. Our solar has stopped working for the grow tent led light. Looks like the controller box has died. ! Im a bit screwed for taking more cuttings now and i need to take a couple more to stop me losing two of the best strains.
I will need to try and take them anyway and just keep them in the shade somewhere. !
it's 100 degrees here in the shade though !!

What makes the plants look so rounded? All the leaves seem to lie close against the plant, instead of pointing outward or upward. Maybe it's hot?
Yeah man..it was a lot of water !! I would have kept doing it if I really had to though lol..definite labour of love 😉
Yeah the pump is a game changer. So much easier..and no water politics ! There are irrigation channels everywhere here but ur not supposed to stick pipes in up above to bring it down to our land lol...even though the landowner has water rights.
We had been doing that for years but every summer the politics start and now its all come on top and it is a bit much but now we don't have to deal with any of that shit. 😉
Just need another 1000 litre water container and we are all set. Hopefully a swimming pool !
Yeah man its really hot here and I had just watered them. They look fine now 😀
