I have always been the proverbial 'cat lady'. I've had up to 20 at one time before and have had cats for many years. They each have a personality; no two are the same. They intuitively know when you are sad, mad, happy and they offer unconditional love! Some give affection in their own way, like my Cyle. He is not a snuggler except on his terms, but he knows when I need a 'head butt' from him or to lay on the back of the couch and put his head on my shoulder. Cot, on the other hand, follows me around like a little puppy dog (yes, oxymoron that that is, lol) and is very affectionate.

As a small child, always had a zoo of stuffed animals, and if I could as an adult, I would take in all the strays. I just love them; it's that simple and that complicated.

Haha! Of cause its lovely, your affection for them its like they are your kids and they act as one. I never knew cat acts like this and are so sensible and smart, i thought dog were the only ones with such gifts. Did you groom them into becoming this human kind??

No, they are their own 'cat-person'. I've read a lot about cats and know that they are just as intelligent (maybe more so) than dogs are. Dogs are smart; I've had a few of those over the years too.

Right now, I borrow my son's dog Phoenix who is very smart.We will be dog sitting in August, so she will show up on the posts again.

Hmmm that's great, i thought cat and dogs do not agree how do you manage to maintain the peace between your cats and son dog.

No worries, my friend!

My kitties had never even seen a dog until we dog sat for 3 weeks last fall. Within 3 days, they were best buds. It helps that Phoenix has a kitty pal that she lives with too.
