Happy Easter! He Is Risen!......My Actifit Report Card: March 31 2024

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter Sunday! Our day began at church. The worship was awesome as was the sermon.

Afterwards, there were baptisms outside. There were close to 10 people who were baptized.

After the service we went to have coffee at Starbucks. I actually didn’t make a coffee at home today because this would have been too much coffee in a short amount of time. Oh but it was so welcome by the time we got there, lol! ☕️☕️☕️

After lunch, we headed to the bay. It was super crowded! I ended up driving into Fairhaven Dow by the Marine Park and parking there. We found the tide way out at the lowest we’ve ever seen it. There’s actually a sandy beach under all that water! We also found Little Man. He had been apparently lost at sea so we saved home from another watery grave when the tide would be back.

See @silvertop’s post for more Little Man photos. 😁

We both ended up on the train tracks. I could hear a rumbling - almost like a vibration, but didn’t give it much thought. @silvertop was across both tracks and I was on the one closest to the park. Suddenly, the rumble was much louder and closer and @silvertop scrambled quickly to get back to where I was. This was coming down the second track but the engineer gave no whistle warning.

Fortunately, there was a train track between us and it. We found it odd that there was no whistle warning especially since the park is right there and people do walk the tracks. We weren’t the only ones there, but everyone was safe. 😅

We headed down from there to under the train bridge where a fresh water stream flows into the ocean. That type of situation is called an estuary.

A Mallard duck enjoying a swim on the freshwater side.

Coming back to the saltwater side, a crow landed nearby who was wanting a bit of a photo shoot!

He left behind birdie hieroglyphics in the sand!

It was such a pretty day!

I’ve got lots more pictures, but I’ll save them for another post. It’s been a lovely day for sure!

That’s gonna be it for now. Take care and have a blessed week! 🙏🇮🇱🇺🇦

It must have been a very lovely day for you, from Church to Starbucks, to the beach etc etc. Glad you quickly got off the tracks, why didn't the train have a whistle blowing... glad everyone was safe!
And the crow came prepared for a photoshoot 😂.

Lovely pictures as always. Happy Easter!

Thank you @ngwinndave! I'm not sure about why the train didn't blow the whistle. Usually, they are on the tracks that were empty, heading the other direction and they always blow the whistle. Maybe it was an engineer unfamiliar with the close proximity of the park. I'm not sure.

Thank you for stopping by and Happy Easter to you too!🤗💜

We do indeed! For hot coffees, other than what we roast, Starbucks is the only one I'll buy. For cold frappes, a local shop called The Woods Coffee, is about the only I will buy. I am a total coffee snob for sure! I pretty much have my own coffee bar and even do frappes myself. I love coffee! What can I say?

Thanks for stopping by my friend! Take care and have a lovely day!🤗💜

I do like trains, but don't like to feel like we just barely missed becoming a hood ornament. Actually, Mike was closer to that than I, and it kind of scared me. I don't understand why the engineer wasn't blowing the whistle as he approached the park. You know they know people and kids especially are around there.

I rode the train, as a child, from Ohio to North Carolina. Back then, it was a 3 day ride. I've ridden the Chama New Mexico steam train down Colorado way. It was magnificent!

As for Little Man; I am thinking there might be a new series of Little Man Adventures! We shall see......

Much love to ya sis! 🤗💜😘😍🌷🌸💕🤗
