Out The Window 🪟……… My Actifit Report Card: February 23 2026

Out the window this morning, was little Miss Deer. She was busy grazing some tasty new grass shoots. At first I didn’t see mom, but she was grazing close by. It was when baby turned to go I saw mom grazing.

As of this evening, they were still hanging around. They must know they’re safe with us.

I dug some pictures out of the archives. Enjoy as we go along!

The day began with hail and rain, eventually tapering off to just clouds. Then, a little mist and back to clouds again. Nothing at all like the events surrounding this next picture. It was early March of 2024. We were leaving to go to Home Depot. After turning onto North Pass, I happened to look up to find this taking shelter in a Big Leaf Maple tree. The storm was wind and heavy rain. It’s exceedingly unusual to find one in a tree like this as they prefer a lone tree out in the open for observation. This was a deep forested area. I was very happy to have captured this photo. 😎

Today we took a brief trip to Lynden. We needed to on the way home, run by the post office to drop off a special package for baby granddaughter Olivia! I found the cutest toy and wanted to get it mailed as soon as possible. I’m hoping she likes it as will her parents! It’s one of those toys it doesn’t matter how old you are-or not! 😁

I spent part of the afternoon spinning and reading while doing it. It wasn’t a leisurely pace either!

Turkey Tail grows so prolifically here. It’s a pretty amazing ‘shroom!

Moss does as well; so many varieties with some especially soft!

Tomorrow is ladies Bible study. I’m hoping that I will have no more work Tuesdays and will be able to have an attendance streak, lol!
