Monday-Monday?!………. My Actifit Report Card: January 7 2026

Monday-Monday?……yeah, for me it was. 😏

Wednesday, also known mostly as ‘hump’ day, is my Monday as well. It’s also a patient day and we are always booked. Today was no different. In the end, it worked out with only one or two loose ends.

The rub is that at the beginning of the year, there’s annual file maintenance that needs to happen and it’s not. I can’t move out the old physical business end of files to make room for the 2026 files simply as I can’t be left alone long enough to even start. My best coworker has gone back to just 2 days a week-Wednesday and Friday, and tomorrow is the first Thursday in quite a while where we’re having afternoon appointments. With no one else there, that leaves me to deal with the front and back. I’ve done it before (actually for almost 3 years after COVID) but I shouldn’t have to. Long and short of it is we need someone dependable who wants to work AND who isn’t a family member. Did I mention my best coworker is not a member of the doc’s family? I get her wanting to go back to 2 days a week for that was what she was hired for. There was supposed to be another person hired. 🙄

Oh well-I guess I’ll just have to roll with it for now, but after 12 years of working, even when sick, and never taking a vacation-when’s it my turn?

I do enjoy my job-I just need to vent now and again!
