What Happened To My ……… My Actifit Report Card: December 28 2025

…..white Christmas?

Unfortunately, it didn’t happen for us this year. So, I decided to take a trip down memory lane to snow days of the past to get my fix.

Mt. Baker with blueberry fields leafless in front.

Our day began at church with an awesome worship and sermon following. Pastor Kyle and his wife Rachel, tag teamed the sermon on the Prodigal Son and God’s heart.

After church, we stopped by the clinic to check on the dehumidifiers.

The forest on the right side of this picture no longer exists-it was wiped out this summer by logging. 😔

The dehumidifiers-one was dry and the other had a little water in it. The clinic might be finally drying out!

Then, we returned home.

I printed a bunch of stuff for a class I’ve been taking, but took the month off due to Christmas, a flood and a bunch of stress.

I did some laundry and also rode the stationary bike for activity.

Phoenix last year on an ice fishing expedition.

When you live where we do and you hike in the snow, you discover who else is hiking the trails as well…….

….or are they stalking you? A mama cougar with children has shared the trails with us before. 😳

The day is drawing to a close. Tomorrow will find me at work for a bit if not the whole day. The doc’s mom is scheduled but she’s been ill. I asked him to let me know which he hasn’t yet. I guess I’ll figure it out if she doesn’t come tomorrow. 😏

That’s gonna be it for now. Take care and enjoy the rest of your day wherever you are! 🙏🌏🙏

NKJV Luke 15:11-32

Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.
“But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’
“And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
“But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.
“Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’
“But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’
“And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’ ”

Wow, I confess that your place of residence is my dream place. I love the cold weather and it's beautiful to see the white snow; my children hope to see snow someday. Seeing the mountains with their white peaks is very beautiful. I'm one of those people who think that living away from everyone, possibly in the countryside, is the best way to stay.

Thank you @monachta! We don't see snow as much as I might like, but we generally do get at least one good storm per year; sometimes a couple. We've gotten nothing yet this year; these pictures with the exception of the mountain ones, were from years past. You are also right; living somewhat 'out' from the cities is nice. It's safer too.

Thank you for stopping by. Take care and have a Happy New Year! !LADY

Indeed! I've been hearing 'noises' that we might be in for a snowy winter, but I'm kind of the frame of mind, I'll believe it when I see it. I'm sure we will eventually get some. It's just too bad it missed Christmas!

Take care @benthomaswwd and have a very Happy New Year!🤗🎊🎉 !LADY

It is! It's a dry cabin on the road that I live on. We check on it for the owners from time to time. It's tucked away and very relaxing. Take care @vaynard.fun! Have a Happy New Year! !INDEED
