The Full Moon Effect Continues…….My Actifit Report Card: October 9 2025

After yesterday, I thought perhaps the full moon influence might have waned, but apparently not entirely.

Work began quiet as my mornings usually are. I get to work about 2 hours before the clinic opens to deal with leftover work, insurance verifications, and administrative work. I was expecting a frame rep upon opening which was also of the norm. When Lisa arrived, I filled her in on the plans for the day. Again fairly normal. When it was time to look at upcoming appointments for tomorrow, I mentioned the patient with the same name as one from Wednesday but with a different date of birth. There were notes about insurance saying it was in my purple folder. As I began searching for it, I found nothing. Upon looking at both demographics, there were so many similarities that I began to think they were one and the same although the date of birth was off 20 years. Conceivable that it could be a father and son situation. I checked the history of who made the appointments in the system and found they were by 2 different coworkers. I had her call tomorrow’s patient and ask about his father. Long and short of it was that what I was thinking was correct- they were one and the same with some major typos! Strange!

Then the power went out. I figured being in town proper with the police station 2 blocks away, that it would be back on within a few minutes. Wrong! At one point I had a patient holding his iPhone flashlight so I could see to replace a screw! Eventually, it came back on. The patient rushed ended and we got the computers back up! Nice!

We decided we must be in some alternate reality as there were several things that made us stop and go hmmm……

Tomorrow, hopefully all will be normal, lol! Normal would be good!
