It’s The Great Pumpkin! 🎃 Part 1………….My Actifit Report Card: October 4 2025

Today was the day! I got up early for my Zoom meeting 8:00 AM, but had to leave it early. The fall pumpkin festival at Stoney Ridge Farm started at 10:00 AM and it was opening day for the event! As you can see from the first picture, there are many pumpkins! 🎃 Here’s another view looking out in the opposite direction.

The weather was if-y. They weren’t calling for rain, but our house was in a cloud and it rained and then misted. This continued as we came down to the valley but slowly waned as we approached Everson. The farm is a bit outside of Everson towards the west, and as we pulled up, although seriously overcast, the drizzle had stopped!

Close by was this nostalgic truck loaded with pumpkins!🎃

There was live music and food. This was one corner of the inside of the barn where hot and cold cider, hot coffee and doughnuts were served.

Outside, there were bins of pumpkins should you not want to traipse out into the pumpkin patch. Get a load of the size of that stem! I asked @silvertop to put his had near it for scale.

They had a tractor pulling a wagon you could hitch a ride on.

I had a video of the ride, but once again, 3Speak isn’t working. 😔

There were apples you could pick and a corn maze to get lost in! Food trucks in addition to the food served in the barn and farm animals to view as well. I found 3 pumpkins and some really nice gourds. @silvertop was kind enough to go get a wheelbarrow for our pumpkin loot. See his post for a picture of all those wheelbarrows they provided. I wonder if they are the farm’s or if they ask nearby locals to help provide them.

We spent about 4 hours total there. Once our pumpkins and gourds were paid for, we wheeled them out to the car, returned the wheelbarrow and set out to our favorite local Starbucks for some much needed refreshment. ☕️☕️☕️

Then, we decided since we were out and had time, to head to Walmart for some items we needed.

Of course by 5:00 PM, the sun came out in all its glory! Too bad it waited, but despite the lack of sunshine, it was a lovely day spent with my best friend who humors my pumpkin 🎃 addiction! 😁
