Let’s Take A Drive………..My Actifit Report Card: August 14 2025

Majestic Mt. Baker! It’s a definitive icon in our Pacific Northwest sky! It’s actually an active volcano way past due for an eruption! In centuries past, it would erupt every 200 years like clockwork. Its last eruption was in 1793……..yep, it’s way past due! I’m hoping I never see it in my lifetime or anybody else see it either for it has some of the most deadly and devastating types of flows. The lahar flow is a dangerous flow of mud, ice, debris and volcanic ash. This volcano has this history of this type of flow in the past. They are fast moving and can bury entire communities before they know what hit them! Scary!

But to the ride part……imagine heading up there on this!

It’s a 1967 CMW motorcycle with a side car! Imagine the wind in your face and all that nature has to offer on the scenic drive up! 😎

Or perhaps this……

1930 Model A Ford

It might be slower, but then again, give you ample opportunity to enjoy the ride up!

Now this might surely be someone’s choice of the perfect classic ride!

A 1914 Case Model S-35 Touring Car!

It has a backseat for extra room for friends to come along AND-it’s a convertible!! Great for those summertime excursions! Plus, get a load of these awesome wood spoked wheels! They don’t make ‘em like this anymore!

Okay-so if none of these rides is quite your style, surely this one will be!

A 1956 Dodge pickup! I think the curved windshield on the front as well as the curved window in the back are seriously cool!

A ride up to Mt. Baker would definitely be memorable regardless of which one you choose!

We are heading south tomorrow to our son’s place. Looking forward to seeing them!
