Caturday/Saturday!……….My Actifit Report Card: May 31 2025

Happy Caturday everyone! 😽

All kitties must be very clean for Caturday, as you can tell by Cot’s grooming! He switches paws 🐾 to get everything!

He really could have just gone outside for a bath as we awoke to a steady downpour! @silvertop suggested we head to the store, so after a few things around the house, we did just that. Our first stop was in Lynden at Ace Hardware, looking for an elusive cone shaped rubber washer for sink faucet repair. Our new faucet is fine, but we needed to have a spare washer as one in our back stock was used during installation. It’s always a good idea to have things like this on hand. It could save a trip to the store in the middle of your next plumbing project!

While there, I found a small critter taking refuge from the rain!

It was still pouring and not fit weather for flying!

They’ve always got beautiful hanging baskets in Lynden.

Then we decided to go to Walmart as we needed some protein bars and other odds and ends. Of course, by the time we had walked the store ( mostly to get steps) we headed back to Lynden for some Starbucks and a pass through the Dollar Tree Store. I like to see what’s new there and pick up a couple of items.

By late afternoon, the sun was back albeit still cool and humid. Being on the brink of June, here, one wonders whether or not we will have June-u-ary; a cross between January and June. It usually means lots of rain and cooler than normal temperatures. Looking ahead at my weather app, the first 9 days or so are either partial or full sun. That could be an indication we might not have June-u-ary, but until we are at least halfway through the month, you just can’t call it!

Since everything is blooming here, enjoy a mish -mash of current and some from the archives of things that bloom!

That’s gonna be it for now. Tomorrow brings my most favorite day of the week-Sunday! I always look forward to church!
