The Magic Of Wisteria……….My Actifit Report Card: May 20 2025

Springtime brings out many flowers but one that always takes my breath away is the Wisteria Vine!

The vine’s drooping clusters of beautiful purple flowers are magical! They make me want to gather them in my hands…sort of like this….

This vine grows on the road that we live on. I’m not sure how old it is, but based on the size of the base of the vine, I believe it’s got a bit of age on it. I’ve read where some vines in Japan are over 150 years old! They can grow quite fast and if not maintained, they can quickly get out of control. This vine has all but taken over the fir tree that is hosting it. It’s still beautiful! I always look forward to springtime as I know it will bloom again.

My day began at ladies Bible study. We had 13 ladies present-we are going to need a bigger meeting space if it keeps growing!

Afterwards, I came home and did a couple things around the house. Then I texted Jan and we all set out for a hike together-the first in quite a while! The rains have kept everybody indoors!

The bees were out. I’ve been paying attention to them lately as I’ve not seen many of them. The numbers are still down from what we normally see. I did get a couple of pics though. 🐝

They were enjoying the Thimble Berry blossoms.

Adam’s bee hives were all a buzz! 🐝

Along the way we found two lovely snails. A five year old….

….and a six year old…..

After their photo shoots, I moved them to safety so they wouldn’t get crushed by foot traffic.

It’s been a lovely day! It’s always nice when the sun comes out and the rain stops!
