It’s Gonna Be A Sun-Shiny Day! 🌞……….My Actifit Report Card: April 29 2025

Despite the weather forecast for rain today, it didn’t happen. That’s a score in my book as yesterday was so dark and dreary!

I made it to ladies Bible study today. The last two weeks I had missed because of throwing my back out the morning of and the second time was last week with the tooth issue. What happens twice will three times, so the saying goes, but the third time didn’t happen. It was a good study-kind of all over the place in subjects, but was good nonetheless.

Once home, I suggested we head to Lynden City Park and actually hike the trail rather than hang out at the stream as we’ve been doing.

The sky was ‘big’ today, for lack of wording. Take in these photos and you’ll understand what I mean.

The stream wasn’t raging today as in the past, but it still had a nice bubbling sound to it.

Through this archway…….

…..is a bridge that goes over the stream. This picture is between the railings of that bridge.

We kept going and crossed a busy road called Bender Road. On the other side is a sports complex where you can play pretty much every sport from volleyball to pickleball to soccer and in between! There’s even a small rock climbing space. @silvertop saw mountain-must conquer!

We kept walking and headed towards East Badger Road, which is a pretty far distance from where we left the car back at the Lynden City Park. In a small business complex, there just happens to be a Woods Coffeehouse! We stopped for some much needed refreshments as we were pretty warm!

When the mocha frappes were finished, we stared back the way we came. Along the way, the ducks were out and about.

To finish off the hike, here is a lovely shadow picture with the ground littered with hundreds of tiny flower petals from the flowering trees above.

It’s been a lovely afternoon with my best friend, @silvertop!

Tomorrow will find me heading to work. First project is to get the new fax machine that arrived, up and running! Hopefully 🤞 before I have to deal with the patients for the day!
