Down By The River Part 2……….My Actifit Report Card: February 21 2024

This is the bridge that spans the Nooksack River in Everson. This bridge sees all kinds of traffic including 18 wheelers as it’s a major artery to and from Canada.

Yesterday, we went to Riverside Park and the photo journey continues.

Water. We all need it for survival. Water shapes rocks through its movement. This picture is a great example of the many, many varieties of rocks. These are currently under water, but these next shots are not.

I wonder if some of the lines and patterns were originally viewable before the water and the silt had a go at it?

This next one begs the question, just what made to spot? It is part of the rock.

Pretty! A lot of what I’ve shown you would be too big to tumble in a rock tumbler, but there are just as many pretty and interesting smaller ones as well. See now, why I may have to purchase one?

Work today was a ‘me, myself and I’ day. It wasn’t as quiet as Monday was, but it wasn’t overly busy either. Tomorrow, we have a fill in doc for the whole day. He is booked, but it won’t be as busy because he takes longer per exam than our regular doc does. Not a bad thing and it makes it easier on me. 😎

It's really a combination of the water eroding it plus the sand and silt that is stirred up plus whatever tumbling occurs and it is moved by the current. It's really amazing if you think about it! Take care and thank you for stopping by!
