Did You See Alfred?!…..My Actifit Report Card: February 4 2024

Did you see Alfred? For anyone who doesn’t know about Alfred, some years ago on our first visit to the PNW, I named a seagull Alfred. Well, they mostly look alike, so all of them are named Alfred. More on that in a moment…..

Yesterday, we had our belated Christmas dinner with our oldest and his wife. I took my VR headset and wasn’t disappointed with the entertainment it provided, lol! Our oldest son was a bit of a ham without him knowing we were videoing him! He was very entertaining! I took a snap of the video as he was winding up to the pirate themed Saber Beat.

Dinner was yummy! Christine had made the green pea and bacon salad to die for! I could have had nothing but that for dinner!🍽️

Today was church, which was awesome as usual. Our pastor is on fire in a way we’ve never seen before. It’s always an inspirational sermon and worship.

@silvertop needed some things from Home Depot, so we headed that direction. He mentioned about heading down to the bay for some pics. Being as it’s back to being somewhat cool again, I wasn’t prepared for the humanity we encountered at the marine Park! We had to go outside the park to even find parking! Now, back to Alfred!

He was everywhere at the bay!

In this next picture, I watched him pick up the white plastic bag several times, but could not catch a shot of him with the bag in his beak. It was as if he were going to try to steal it! Some boys walked too close and he flew away.

I really enjoyed this capture but wished I’d also been able to get him from the front too.

I found interesting barnacles on the rocks. In this one, the one circled almost looks like a ghoul or skeleton like.

There is always so much to see when we go there!

Afterwards, we stopped at Walmart for a few items since we were in town, and then headed north to Lynden to our favorite Starbucks for a coffee date before going home.

Tomorrow, I have one last (at least, I think it’s the last) post live training call. Then I have about 12+ jobs to process and work on insurance verifications for next week. I thought this whole software change was supposed to make my job easier? I can’t really blame it all on the software-we’re busier than ever plus the doc has added a half day to our appointments. That adds extra work for me to an already overloaded timeframe. 🙃
