Tomorrow is the day and I am looking forward to it! I’m hoping it’s a slower paced day than it’s been being. I could use a little stress relief for sure!
I had my two frame reps and with one, if I purchased 25 frames, I’d get 10 of a line we didn’t carry for free! Free is good and I’d actually sold more than that of the lines he represents. The only line I don’t have in the clinic is his most expensive line! So I chose 10 free frames of that line. They are a wee bit different than what we normally stock, however, we’ve got a different genre of patients coming in and I think they will go for these. Besides, free is good and if they don’t sell, that’s okay-we can reduce them. I should see them here within 2-3 weeks. Nice! 😎👍

Hey @caleb-marvel! In answer to your question-I am a licensed optician and I work in a small privately owned optical shop. The doc owns the clinic and I am his optician, practice manager, frame buyer, insurance biller, customer service representative and many other hats. I manage 2 other employees as well as obviously, the entire clinic. I tell people I do what needs doing except give eye exams!
So yesterday, I had 2 frame reps from different frame companies coming so I could choose new designs for the clinic to stock for patients to choose for their eyeglasses. Oh, did I mention I also am the IT person for the clinic as well!
It can be crazy and stressful, but I do enjoy the work, just not being stressed over the work.
