Do I Have To?……..My Actifit Report Card: January 30 2024
I went this morning to ladies Bible study which I greatly enjoyed. It was good to study the Word and fellowship. Afterwards, I went to the grocery to get some milk and then to the post office to get the clinic mail.
I then fixed @silvertop’s lunch and started a load of laundry. At 3 PM instead of going with him for a hike, I headed up to the loft to clock in and work on insurance verifications. I needed to get 3 days done as far as I could, to try to lessen the load for the week. Whereas I got about 70% of it done for tomorrow, I didn’t fare so well for the other two days. Unfortunately my office staff ( one is new, so I don’t really expect her to be on top of this) just isn’t getting the information or they go off of what the patient says such as ‘same as last time. I’ve learned that a lot of the times, it isn’t the same. Combine that with the new system that has virtually no insurance information, well I come up with a big fat zero working from home on this. I’m going to have to get with them and go over what really needs to be collected when patients call. It is very frustrating for me as I don’t have time to chase this stuff.
I also got a text from one of my staff saying she and her whole family is sick. She won’t be in this week at all. That’s okay-I don’t want her to share and she needs to take care of herself and the family. However, I’m not sure if my new gal will cover or whether the other one is coming. I guess I’ll find out tomorrow. Ever feel like the water is closing in over your head and you can’t swim towards the surface? 😶🌫️🫠

I think I can understand what you are facing at work. I have a similar situation to handle in school with one of my teachers being away from work, with the story of having some issues to sort out at the bank, and then each new day the story is that the issue is yet to be resolved. I hope she comes to work tomorrow to do what she's being paid for, lol!
