Fly Me Away!!…..My Actifit Report Card: January 3 2024
How would you describe work today? Hmmmm……well…..I might would say chaotic, super busy, overwhelming-I need a vacation!!!🤣🤣🤣
The software update is done and the conversion happened earlier than scheduled. I didn’t find out about that until midafternoon. That’s okay as I’d not planned on trying to use it until tomorrow anyway. So prior to that, just about every incoming phone call was for me. Unfortunately, most of the time, I was occupied with the patients in office. Everybody has/had lots of questions about insurance! I was left kind of feeling like the vinyl LP’s from yesteryear that had a scratch in it. The needle would get stuck in the scratch and replay a word over and over again. I tried accessing the software and upon completing just a simple exam only order, it errored out. No reason given-just wouldn’t work. I tried a couple different scenarios and all with the same result. This was supposed to save me time, lol! It’s early yet and new things always have hiccups.
Panic however, has not set in just yet. I have a call with a gal who hopefully can answer my ‘why’ questions and get me out of the loop I’m in.
All of today’s work will have to be completed tomorrow before I go home. Fingers crossed!🤞
Hence the first picture. Perhaps I need to fly away from all this chaos! Not gonna happen, lol! 🤪🤪🤪

It's good you decide to take rest from all the work, It's not easy when things keep failing like that, I hope it would go easy on you this time hehe. Happy you felt better later on, I also did after seeing those images, did you call it Eye candy, whoah, never seen such here!

Thanks sis! The software change was a double edged sword. On the one hand, I can now do some things from home without having to go in as it's web based and accessible from any device I use. I no longer have to worry about updates and backups.
The cons are that it's new and with new stuff, there is always hiccups. Fortunately, I have a good team on the software side of it and they are willing to help me through the rough spots. Unfortunately, this is going to be a stretch for one coworker. The other one came in today to run interference with the front end and phone calls for me so I could focus on this. She picked up what I taught her quickly, which was a huge help to me. The doc thought that it would be easier and more efficient in the long run than the old software which was local server based in office. I agreed with him and I do think in the long run, it will be. There is the learning curve which I think will be the better part of the year as there is so much more depth to what I have to do with it than what the rest of the office has. I will survive, but may need resuscitation, lol!
