What IS That THING?!….My Actifit Report Card: January 2 2024
We received a new appliance from Bill and Agi for Christmas. I didn’t have a chance until today to try it out.
It’s a Shark brand robotic vacuum. It’s a really nice one and can traverse multiple floor levels. Poor Cyle didn’t quite know whether to attack it or run from it!
Cot gave it wide berth but was watching it very, very closely! It was quite comical to watch them. I’ve not set it up just yet-I was letting it run at will seeing what it would do. It did get itself out of a corner where it seemed stuck. I think it’s pretty good and will see how it does in the long haul.
I woke up around 6 AM with the right side of my throat raging sore. I got up and took some colloidal silver and went back to bed. I woke up again at 8 AM and at that time, my entire throat was raging! Of all weeks to get sick! When I got up, I took more colloidal silver and a Zicam. Within a couple of hours, the sore throat was gone-almost as if I hadn’t had it! It was weird actually. As the day wore on, so far as of this writing, it has not returned and I have zero symptoms of any illness. It did knock me out of Ladies Bible study, but I’ll attend next week. I’m hoping it doesn’t rear its head tomorrow, but I’ll keep taking the colloidal silver and Zicam.
Consequently, I did not venture out for a hike as it was raining and didn’t want the exposure to the weather. Tomorrow will be busy at work as there is no system in place for the office software just yet. Tomorrow is ‘conversion’ day and Thursday, we go live. I’ll spend Thursday doing Wednesday’s work. Fortunately Yana is coming in to deal with phones and people for me.

hahaha - The same was with Bella (our dog) when we bought a similar robotic vacuum (I don't know the brand). She was watching it closely with great suspicion, made a few steps closer to sniff it, and then she would step back with even greater suspiciousness and with a hundred more question marks in her eyes and above her head. 😂
But the funniest moment was when this silly device started to talk. Bella's surprise and shock reactions were indescribably funny! 🤣
However, I'm not thrilled with my robotic vacuum, as it doesn't clean Bella's hair very well. On a surface with parquet or ceramic tiles, it's all good, but when it comes to carpet (and we have a huge surface covered with carpet) it's almost useless, especially at times when she sheds more hair.

We have 2 kitties who make an amazing amount of hair! The jury is still out yet, but we shall see. I have mostly hard surface floors but do have some carpet in the bedroom and some runners. We had talked about getting one some months ago and had decided against it as we read about eaten cords and dog poo that it had spread all over the house, lol! I don't have the poo issue, but it does worry me about the cords.

We had (before) two Irish setters that have eaten almost all our shoes. (I'm still crying after one, to me, special pair.) But when it comes to Bella, we are really lucky. No eaten cords, shoes, or anything else; no pee or poo around the house (it took us about two weeks, when she arrived as a puppy, to fully train her regarding it). But when it comes to hair, her undercoat sometimes kills us more than her coat. The funny thing is also that her undercoat has an entirely different color (very light, almost white) than her coat is (black and brown), so the carpet in the living room, sometimes looks like there was some sort of indoor snowing (even, maybe it's the middle of the summer). 😂
Therefore, I'm really curious what would be the verdict of your jury. I hope your device will perform better than ours in this "hairy" regard!
Our two kitties also have that under down type fur. So far, Dusty is doing great. We do have to dump the dust bin often, but so far so good. Take care and have a lovely day!
