Wind And Rain!........My Actifit Report Card: September 25 2023
Wind and rain! Yes, it’s truly the fall season once the wind and rain commences. The rain held off for a bit but the wind began beforehand. Enough that it knocked over my garden swing and outdoor plant shelf unit. 😏 Thus far we’ve not lost power, but the ground hasn’t had enough rain to expand around the tree roots and solidify them. I’m expecting something to fall-just not sure when. We’re getting some pretty good gusts as I write this.
We slept in. It was nice. I love it when I only wake up once during the night. I’d prefer none, but once beats every two hours or so! I made espresso for us and spent 25 minutes reading. Then I donned the VR headset and did a 30 minute workout. I almost beat my highest score. I’m in the ‘hard’ level and class A. It’s pretty intense but fun. Best of all, when I’m done with it, I’ve noticed the pain that plagues me daily is mostly if not completely gone for most of the day. That’s huge for me. 😁
This time off seems like we’ve done nothing but run to Bellingham, lol, and today was no different. While out, I got some fall decorations to liven up the pumpkins and cornstalks.
I refreshed both sides of the driveway and as you can see in the first photo, added more pumpkins and a scarecrow. I’ve got some fall decorations for the mantle and will have some pics of that in the near future. In the meantime, here’s some pics from previous hikes.

The scarecrow is to scare snakes right?
No, truly in this scenario, it is just decoration. However, full, life size ones can be found in gardens to scare away the birds that would eat the bounty. Often streamers are tied from the arms of the scarecrow for added movement when the wind blows.

You've got a great handle on decorating for Fall. Everything is looking "autumny" and dressed up for Halloween! You even have a cute cat!🐱 Where did you buy your pumpkins? A tad too soon for me to get some since it's still in the upper 80°s F and was 90°F Tuesday where I live.

Thank you! We are fortunate to have a small family owned produce stand nearby at very reasonable prices. Then, I also found one that was giving them away for free. I got about 4 from there over 2 weekends. I love pumpkins! Take care!🤗💜
