Happy Sunday!.......My Actifit Report Card: September 17 2023

Happy Sunday! 😁

This morning, we set out for church. It was our turn to lead worship. We got there around 8:30 only to find out there was to be a discussion of last week’s sermon prior to church. We had to hustle our practice as in the past, the expectation was that the worship team would stop prior to the adult class which is fine, except that it leaves enough time for warmed up vocal cords to cool down! Not best scenario for sure. There is a big barn door they closed but once we were finished with the song we were actively rehearsing, I told @silvertop we should stop. About 20 minutes until the service, we went outside under the awning at the entrance to the church to run through one of our songs to warm my voice back up. Ironically, it turned out that we ended up greeting folks with song as they began to trickle in. I guess we invented a new method of greeter, lol! They seemed to enjoy it and I got to warm up, so it was good! 😎👍

On the way home, there was a little roadside stand with a sign stating tomatoes and pumpkins free! We stopped and sure enough, that’s what the sign did say. There was a money box for donations which would be used to purchase seeds for next year’s garden. I left a donation and got the pumpkin in this next picture.

A nice sized 15-20 pound pumpkin for free! I might have to revisit and leave another donation 😁

My VR headset arrived today. Cot was very inquisitive about the box.

I’ve downloaded the app needed to set this up and did part of the prep work for this. We had to leave to go pick up some cedar boards at Home Depot, so I’ll finish it tomorrow. I’ve still got the doc’s to play with for a quick workout for now. I’ll take mine to him so he can add some games on his ticket. That’s very nice of him!

It will be a great advantage during the winter when it’s to yucky to get out for a hike.
