'Shroomy Days To Come!........My Actifit Report Card: September 10 2023
‘Shroomy days to come!
We usually gets lots of ‘shrooms in the forest, but this year has been different. With the hot summer and little to no rain, we didn’t get the spring and summer showing we usually get. It rained a few days ago and enough so that some of those spores were able to come to life!
The first picture is the Turkey Tail. Folks should read up about that guy! He has some amazing medicinal properties worth looking into.
I also love it when I find this next one as taking a shot from the underneath side is alway interesting!
So delicate and detailed!
This next one is a baby Hoof Fungus named for their resemblance to hooves.
Those were the ‘shrooms I found on today’s hike. Backing up, our day began with church. Then a quick trip to the grocer to get some Cherry Ice bubbly water and then home. I did some continuing education for my optician’s license requirements while @silvertop split more firewood and set up his paint for tomorrow’s session. Then of course the hike up the off grid cabin way to the High Trail and then down the Floor Trail and back home. Jan came with.
Tomorrow, I’m hoping to plant the mums I’ve purchased-I’m just not sure where exactly yet, and then I’m going to try out the virtual headset my boss gave me to play with. I have a feeling it’s going to be interesting!

Hmmm have never asked, but why do you love snapping them? Whats the story behind your love for them?
I like to see the world from a perspective that we as humans cannot see! We can't get under a mushroom to see it from that perspective, but my phone can. There are so many varieties out there and they are all different from one another. You never know what you might find and I look for it all! Take care and thanks for asking!
