'Shrooms!!!..........My Actifit Report Card: September 4 2023

‘Shrooms!!!

More on that in a minute. I got up this morning with the intention of roasting 7 pounds of coffee; six for a customer and one for a special friend. It took a bit for me to get this done. Now all that’s left is a postage label for my customer and for my friend, I need to get her gift box assembled and ready for mailing. I plan to put both out in the mail tomorrow.

After lunch, we decided to go for a hike mid afternoon. Jan came with.

We were heading to Slumbering Bear Trail which requires going up to the off grid cabin. Along the way, Jan spotted these little ‘shrooms.

At the cabin, we headed up the High Trail to Bear Hollow. Then it was on to Slumbering Bear Trail. That’s where I found these ‘shrooms.

We were going up the last leg of Slumbering Bear Trail when I spied what I believe is Turkey Tail mushrooms.

There were quite a few of them so I’m saving some pics for a future post.

It rained yesterday evening and there were lots of pretty water droplets on everything. They kind of look like diamonds sparkling.

It was a nice hike. I had wanted to also do Buckhorn Loop, but 3:00 is a bit late to start to do that as well, and honestly, it’s been a bit of a long haul in recovering from Covid. So I’m trying to push a little at a time.

I found Cot being a lazy-bones today. He is cute though!

That’s it for now. Tomorrow will find me at the dentists office for the crown on that root canal I had done in July. While I’m doing that, @ silvertop will be dealing with a firewood delivery. 😁
