Just Hangin' In There...........My Actifit Report Card: August 27 2023

Just hangin’ in there……………waiting for the smoke to clear and cooler temperatures! Yes folks, it was another smoky and hot 🥵 day! If you didn’t know there were mountains, you wouldn’t have guessed there were as you could not see them! The good news is that Tuesday through Thursday, they are calling for rain and cooler temperatures. I hope so!

We started the day at church and ran sound again. Then afterwards, we had said we’d go through the classroom that had become a catch all storage room for the church. It took me and @silvertop about 45 minutes to separate the viable sound cables and equipment from the eBay-able and the flat out garbage stuff. We also found and labeled the church’s electrician’s tub of electrical parts. See @silvertop’s post for the before and after photos. The balance of the stuff in the classroom belongs to other parts of the church which they will have to decide what to do with it.

Since the air was so nasty and the temperature so hot, 🥵 we decided on a trip to Bellingham to pick up a few items we needed. In the parking lot, the trees are showing some fall colors, and………

……..the burning bushes are beginning to burn………

…….which begs the question; is it fall color or die off from the worst dry spell we’ve had? Some of the trees around are turning yellow, which indeed could be die off. However, the vine maples and plants like in the pictures, especially in a hot and dry summer, will have brilliant fall color. I suspect a little of both depending on the tree.

Oh, and that first picture…….last night Cyle was all snuggled up to @silvertop. Good thing he had enough on to avoid Cyle’s traction devices! 😸

Here’s to tomorrow hopefully being less smoky and somewhat cooler. We shall see!
