It's Back!........My Actifit Report Card: August 25 2023

It’s back! Yes folks, we were greeted with a strange wind out of the east this morning and a balmy temperature of 68 degrees. Very odd as we have mountain peaks to the east! And the temperature-I have no idea! 🧐 It blew in the smoke from the Canadian wildfires as well as from our own wildfires. I’m hoping that it will blow out soon.

I went to work at an unprecedented 7:28 AM today to try an get a bit of a handle on everything there. I had 8 orders for glasses and 3 for contact lenses I didn’t even get to touch from yesterday. With the overbooked schedule and one patient who didn’t come yesterday as planned but showed up today instead, I knew I needed that head start! When I got to work, this was the sky to the east.

I was super busy during the day, but was able to at least keep up with all that came along. I had about 4 shipments that needed packaging and USPS labels created for as well. A lot of things with details and time consumption. In the end, although I couldn’t go work on any ‘fires’, I was able to get the day’s orders processed with the exception of the last patient. That will have to wait until next week.

After work, a trip to the post office and then the grocery and home. Here’s a pic from the parking lot looking eastward like the first smoke picture. It’s definitely worse!

Fingers crossed 🤞 for no smoke tomorrow! That’s gonna be it for today. I’m tired!
