I Want A Nap Too!........My Actifit Report Card: August 17 2023

I want a nap too!

Thursday’s are typically slow and give me an opportunity to do some of my administrative work. Today was NOT slow! The hour and a half before I opened was very productive and even the first 30-45 minutes after opening. But then-not so much. Or maybe it might be better said productive but not as I would have mapped out. I knew the possibility of 2-4 patients coming in to order glasses was on the plate. In reality, 2 came in but both ordered double pairs and needed things explained to them such as lens material options, etc. Of course, the phone rang incessantly off the hook as well. I felt so bad to have to stop midstream to answer the phone but what can you do when you work alone! Then, my frame rep was 30 minutes late and my second one was 30 minutes early! Murphy’s Law-right?

By the time I was done with them, it was well after 4 PM. I still had lots to do, so I hustled as best I could. Tomorrow’s a busy and booked day so other than the hour or so before opening, I won’t have much time to deal with the loose ends from today.

Hence the reason I now need a nap, lol!

Phoenix is due to go home tomorrow. We’re going to miss the pitter patter of doggie feet 🐶😢
