What ‘cha got there?

We woke up this morning to a winter wonderland! The heavens dumped about 3-6” on us depending on where you call home.

We were running sound for church and had figured we’d have to take the seriously long way to church. Much to our surprise, they’d plowed North Pass ( not our road, of course!) so once we made down to the stop sign, we set out the normal way there.

The other worship leader had cancelled coming because of the snow, so our pastor who also plays guitar and sings, took his place with that team. He’s a bit more of a dynamic singer than the other guy, so it kept us on our toes with the sound.

They finally got the indoor shutters installed and they look nice!

So, yesterday, I’d mentioned I’d tell the story of @silvertop, the rock and the pond. On our hike yesterday, we decided to go to Westergreen’s land. Once there, just about a quarter mile or so, there is a nice little lake/pond that’s secluded and peaceful. We had headed that route just to see if it was frozen. I’d tossed a small log onto the ice that hit with a resounding reverberation and echo! It was pretty cool and did not crack the ice. I thought for sure it would! So then, @silvertop wondered about a rock. He had to really hunt, but found this beauty.

Then, he launched it!

It landed with a muffled thwack, and you could hear the ice break, but it was just a hole where it landed about a 3-4” one at best. It popped right out and skidded across the ice!

Not nearly as impressive with the sound as mine was, but it revealed that the ice wasn’t very thick! When it melts, both the log and the rock will sink to the bottom forever!

That’s gonna be it for now. Tomorrow begins my final week of 5 days a week, workweek. I’m already anticipating Friday! 😎👍😁
