Music And Hiking and .......My Actifit Report Card: January 15 2023
Music and hiking and…….. more on that in a few. I’m the meantime, welcome to today’s post!
This morning saw us heading for church as it was our turn to lead worship. Jamie, our guy who usually does PowerPoint and a kind of ‘set it and forget it’ type running of sound, wasn’t coming as he’d been under the weather plus had an accident with a piece of heavy farm machinery that crushed his baby finger. From the pic he sent, it just looked bloody and bruised, but the bones are crushed so he will be meeting with a surgeon this week to see what can be done. Prayers for a quick healing for him would be appreciated 🙏
So, we were on our own for sound. Sally was dealing with the new setup for Facebook Live and retired pastor Carl was dealing with the PowerPoint. Fortunately, @silvertop and I have some 20 years experience with music and sound and are able to deal with that end. The Facebook live new camera setup the church was gifted with had issues that we were not aware of. Now that we are, we are looking for ways to improve that sound next week and will be dealing with sound for the other worship leader. Just when you think you’ve got it all under control!😏
Worship went splendidly and I was taken aback by how loud the congregation was! I believe everyone was singing which is what worship is all about! I know that God was smiling!
After church and some consultations with a couple of folks, we set out for home. A coffee was first on my agenda! We met Jan and headed up the trail. The first pic is of a tiny, tiny ‘shroom we found along the way. It was no more than maybe a 1/2” tall!
The rain held off fortunately and it was a nice hike.
Our son did not win the fishing tournament but did get a 2.2 pound. His biggest! He did say they might be in the newspaper and his fish in the American Dream TV Show. I’ve not heard of that before, so it’ll be interesting to see if it happens.
Phoenix is greatly anticipating what her ‘dad’ might pull out of that ice hole!
Ice fishing is hard work as you can tell from Phoenix’s sleepy pictures!
Tomorrow finds us on a marathon type shopping day for some much needed items! It’s been since early December or maybe even November (I can’t remember, lol) since our last trip!

Fishing on the frozen lake? Cool!
Literally! Bill does this each winter to stock up on fish for the freezer. He fishes in the summertime as well. He's become quite the fisherman and of course, Phoenix loves to go fishing as well!
Nice! Can Phoenix track where the fishes are? It's nice that your son knows where the fishes are even in frozen lake.
I don't think she can, but she eagerly awaits for him to pull them out of the hole! Bill is really into fishing and does well at it. Me......the fish will go to the other side of the lake if I try to fish, lol!
Lol! Me either! I don't know how to fish. Does Phoenix likes to eat fish?

Lol! She don't eat them? Dogs here loves to eat meat and fish.
My son won't let her, although I'm not sure whether she would try or not.
I see. Dogs has preferences too.
