Which way to go?

Hi there and thanks for visiting!

Today was the first workday for me in 2023. It was also a patient day so there were so many directions that I needed to really go. I started the day with insurance verifications and then pulled a year’s worth of insurance paperwork, receipts and miscellaneous paperwork pertaining to the business and boxed them up to make room for this year’s. I usually keep 3 years in my filing cabinet simply for sake of ease, should I need to revisit something. So in the box went 2020 stuff.

Tomorrow, I’ll have to organize the files and label them for this year’s business.

We were booked to the eyeballs (pun intended). I had very little room to breathe. And then…….I got a patient who just wanted to relook his choice over and over and over again! No exaggeration here folks! I do understand wanting to be sure. However this encounter over one frame was an hour and a half long! To complicate matters, there were other patients, one who I coached my coworker through. There were dispenses made without the benefit of that patient being able to sit for adjustments because of my patient. We only have one table for these purposes. He did eventually make the decisions, but not at the fairness to the other patients. I couldn’t say anything-it was just a no win situation.

I came home at the end of the day without stopping at the grocery as I’d originally wanted to. I just dropped off a library book and hit the post office.

Then I made a coffee and relaxed for a few in front of the lovely fire @silvertop had started.

Tomorrow is a much needed ‘me, myself and I’ day. I’m hoping for low foot traffic and few phone calls. 🤞
