It's Almost Done.......My Actifit Report Card: December 17 2022
Hey everybody and thanks 🙏 for stopping by today! 😎👍🎁🎄🎅
Yes, it is almost done! We are in the home stretch for Christmas shopping. We needed to go out to visit our LCS and to finish up shopping for our two grown sons! Their wives are MUCH easier to buy for than they are!😁🎁
We headed to Bellingham first to visit the local coin shop and visit with Justin, whom we’ve known for quite a number of years. See @silvertop’s post for a closer look at that adventure!
So, the problem of our two sons still loomed. We set out for Walmart next. Boy, was that place packed! The parking lot which is big, was almost completely full and often times to get down an aisle, you had to turn around and try the other end to get in. We solved our younger son’s gift from there but still had no idea for the older one. I quickly decided to text our daughter in law to ask her advice. She responded with a couple ideas that bloomed into a couple more, so we headed to Winco grocery, and finished that up.
On the way home, we stopped by a friend’s house in Lynden who always has a spectacular Christmas light display. This year is no exception.

Down the street is another home done all in red. This pic is blurry as it was taken as we drove by.
And, just down from there, another beautiful display.
After that, we splurged on coffees from Starbucks. A latte for @silvertop and a peppermint mocha w/ coconut milk for me! Yum!!
Now it’s time for a bit of blogging and then dinner and a Christmas movie in front of the fire!

I do like to get out a little in the hustle and bustle of things, but I don't really sweat it. I think overall, that we are too commercialized with Christmas and so many forget the reason for the season. Jesus is why, not all the glitter, but I know that you know that!

Thank you my friend! I can be if I've got the time to do it. We don't do a lot outside as when Christmas is over, it seems to never stop raining long enough to go out and take them down. I remember the first year we were here, before we knew better, I think it was April before we had a 'dry' chance to take down the decorations, lol!
There are a lot of folks closer to town, who really get into the spirit of decorating; almost like a competition, lol! It's fun to drive around and look at them all.

😂😂😂April was really a long time, it was getting to half of the year
Exactly and by the time you took them down, they were kind of brittle from all the rain exposure. It's just proved to be too much trouble for now. Maybe someday when I retire, I might give it another go!🤗💜🎄🎁

Hey @kerrislravenhill! Yes, we are pretty much done. A trip to the post office for a last minute send off and maybe a stocking stuffer or two, but it's essentially done. Now, the focus comes on leaving Friday afternoon for North Bend, to spend Christmas with our younger son and his wife and to see my grand-dog who I've missed since we had to give her back when they returned from Hungary.
