Oh My!.........So Many..........My Actifit Report Card: September 8 2022

Oh my!………..So many………..eyeglass frames! 👓 A local discount privately owned optical shop in Bellingham has been sold. My doc and I both, are friends with the previous owners. Doc has been doing eye exams as an independent doc, there for a number of years. Our histories are entwined through a big box chain way back in the early 2000’s. 😎👓

They sold the remaining frame stock to the doc-over 600 of them. My task for day was go through and separate the mens and womens styles from each other. I put my hands on every single one of those frames 👓 today! 😅

I was able to reduce the boxes from 5 to 4- with 2 of them being womens; 1 mens; one sunglasses 🕶 box for guys and gals. I want to at a later date, go back through and try to group them a bit further by designer. They need to all be sanitized and then inputted into the computer 💻 system. Then I would feel okay to get them out. I don’t have room for all of them as we already have over 600 in the shop and honestly nowhere to house more. So it will be a delicate art of dance-moving some out to put some in and then interchanging the inventory every so often. I’m already tired just thinking about it! 🥱

I went out, once home 🏡 to water 💦 the garden. 🪴 it’s been cooler, but this weekend, we are headed into another heat wave, and a ‘red flag’ alert for fire 🔥 danger. Ever see a fir 🌲 tree or a cedar tree 🌲 go up in flames? It’s impressive and scary! That’s mostly what our forests are comprised of. There’s tons of fallen trees 🌲 plus old debris around, so it is a tinderbox just waiting! Hopefully, everybody will behave with campfires 🔥 ( as in none allowed for now) and burning discarded cigarette 🚬 butts too.

A couple of eye 👁 candies 🍭 for you.

You might remember the tiny Japanese lace leaf maple tree 🌳 that we rescued from the road crew! It’s grown over 6” in the past couple of weeks! I think it likes the pot it’s in. We plan to transplant in the late fall.
