Can You Hear Me?.............My Actifit Report Card: September 3 2022
Hey everybody and thanks 🙏 for stopping by today! 😺😸😽 Happy Caturday! 🐈⬛
Can you hear me? That’s the question for the day. We headed out to church ⛪️ to begin working on the sound system. It’s been 10 months since it was last used due to last years flood just before Thanksgiving. Too long, but you can’t always do things at the speed we might would simply because there are others involved with time frames. 🙃
And so it began……
We needed to put together first, a rack meant to hold the amps and a few other electronics.
We did get the rack done and the mains amp in place, but when we went to put the monitor amp in, the holes were off. At that point, we decided to call it a day and take the amp home so @silvertop could file the holes bigger. We’ll continue on next weekend. More pics to come………..😁
After a quick run to Lynden to grab a couple more paintbrushes, we ran by the post office to pick up yet another member of the Lamb family. When we got home, we set about roasting some green chilis I grew this summer.
Since there’s a burn 🔥 ban here, there was no fire 🔥 in the fire 🔥 pit. Instead, we got out a camping propane tank and attached a torch to it. It proved difficult to light due to the breeze we had, but it did eventually. Let the roasting begin!! 😁
When we used to live in Colorado, we’d drive down to Olathe and find a roadside chili 🌶 roasting stand. You could buy a bushel of green Anaheim green chilies 🌶 and they’d roast them for you while you watched. It was pretty impressive! Unfortunately people here just look at us like we’ve grown horns when we asked if it’s done here. So, we roast our own!
Here’s the finished product.
There is absolutely nothing like fresh roasted chilies 🌶. I will use about half making fajitas for dinner tonight. Yum!
When we were done, we needed a bit of a hike, so we headed up to the pond. You may have recalled from @silvertop’s post earlier this week, that we had a bobcat in our backyard. I’m thinking he might have had a snack up at the pond and enjoyed it while lounging in the apple 🍎 tree 🌳
Poor birdie! I’m guessing a grouse or a duck from the pond.

So that's the roasted chili Silvertop is talking about. Quite curious about it. Hehe
They are SO good! They have a smokey flavor combined with the chili. They can be mild or hot, but so far, the three I used yesterday were mild. I like a bit of spice, so I was looking for the 'bite', but alas, they were still tasty! Great for fajitas, salsa, topping on salads or anything really. You should try roasting some if Anaheim chilies are available in your country. Take care my friend and have a wonderful week! !LADY
There are a lot of kinds of chillies here, probably with just different names. Will try them out. My wife loves chillies
