I’ve had a super busy day and was happy to see the work day finish. Now……. four glorious off days! Don’t get me wrong-I love my job…….sometimes, it’s the people who walk through the door that are the challenge! I guess it makes things interesting!
It rained apparently like crazy ( I was so busy that I missed seeing it) or so I’ve been told. It has been a rainy stretch for sure, but lo’ and behold, the sun can out right around 4 pm. What is that strange light in the sky? 🌞🌞🌞
Could it be I might just get to go for an evening hike? It’s been what seems like forever since I’ve hiked and since we’ve seen Jan!
We met and headed out. The neighbors were having a bonfire, as you can see from the first photo. We went to the trailhead and turned back as darkness was descending.
What a nice shot of pines in the twilight.
It’s forecasted to dump buckets again tomorrow, so the jury is out on whether I hike or not 😏

Sis, do you sometimes eat outdoors?
Not a lot-no. Too many mosquitos in the summer; too wet in the fall and winter. If we have a bonfire, then we might roast hot dogs or sausage. The smoke helps with the bugs some.🤗🤗

The neighbor was having a bonfire, burning old tree stumps and pieces of wood. We get a lot of tree debris from the wind storms that we have. Take care!

We have had some nice sunny days recently but it’s getting colder each day
It turned out to be a mix of rain and no rain sort of day. It is the Northwest after all and we are known for rain, lol! Take care my friend and have a lovely night.
Hello friend elizabethbit I really like your content, you catch the reader. the first impression I had when I saw your post I thought, something was burning or that you were in trouble lol I'm glad you're well; I liked it a lot, how beautiful the climate is there, the pines, that touch of the North American climate ... here you see many palm trees, a pine is rare here on the island hehe. Thank you @kathysteele, for your kind words! Everybody here at one time or another, will have a huge bonfire to reduce the debris from the trees due to weather we get. Such was the case for our neighbor last night. It is beautiful here, but sometimes it's hard to deal with the lack of sunshine and the constant rain in the fall and winter. Sadly, I've never seen a palm tree in person, lol! Maybe some day... Take care and have a wonderful evening!
