My Actifit Report Card: October 23 2021

Hey everybody and thanks for stopping by! As you can tell, this is our weekend to lead worship at church. @silvertop was busy getting ready!

We are training Barb on PowerPoint and Adam on sound. Jan is singing backup as she usually does. It was good to gather at practice-make a joyful noise unto the Lord!🎶

We came home and rested for a bit. This was the most I had been continuously on my feet since I threw my back out. At the appointed time, we met Jan to head out for my first hike since Monday!

I found a nicely detailed deer hoof print in the mud.

I originally thought I might not make it further than to the trailhead. Then I thought maybe to the lumber mill area. Then, I decided to try ‘the hill’ and made it all the way to the Accordion Street sign Tim put up years ago. I was happy to have made it that far! I called it good and Jan and I headed back down. @silvertop headed onward.

I didn’t want to overdo it, but it had been long enough without any hiking.

Tomorrow finds us at church first thing for practice and the service. They say a terrible storm is headed our way with wind warnings and tons of rain! ☔️☔️☔️☔️💨💨💨 So, we wait. Until then, get out there and get those hooves movin’! Have a good one! 👣🐑😎☔️☕️🍁🎃🍂🦌🎶🎶🌻🤗🌙😴

Hey @dreemsteem! Yes, I am in the state of Washington way up at the upper most northwest corner, about 5 miles from the Canadian border. Are you on the west coast as well?

We love to worship the Lord, and am honored to be wired to do this. I can look back over my life and see how He orchestrated (pun intended, lol) it.

Take care!

but then we stopped - but it was fun

I've been singing since 9 - in groups for church and girls singing choirs that traveled to churches and events. all through school and then worship team and all that hahahaha

so i love it withyou! :)

and yep - i'm in Cali - and we are supposed to get hit bad with that storm!
but i love it - cuz we are in such drought - i hope that the ravines fill ehehehe

That is really nice about the worship team. Our church is very small and my team consists of myself (lead vocal, keyboard with multi instruments and flute), my husband (guitar) and our neighbor who does awesome harmony.

As for the rain; be careful of flash flooding (presuming it could do that there). We on the other hand, have to watch out for all those trees that will fall and take out power lines and whatnot! We've already lost power 5 times this month, which is unusual for October. It's going to be an interesting ride for sure! Take care and be safe!

those worship teams have some of the most amazing sounds because there is nothing to clash with it - just voices and beautiful instruments, clean, lovely! hehehe

yes - i hear that we might get flash flooding - for me, i live on a mountain, an dmy house is on an incline so it all goes down hehehe

but we will be careful of driving during those times too - cuz they happen FAST!

WOWWWW 5 times of power out! thats a lot! we usually have it go out 5 times a winter hehehehe but not in a month! that's crazy!

thank you - you be safe too, sister :)

WoW Liz! A bad back and 12,000+ steps! Amazing!
I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. Don't push yourself too much! Perhaps stretching with a door frame would help, I do some 30 stretches a day and my back is nearly always perfect! Well I don't get backaches anyway! lol
The deer hoof print conjures up lovely images of deer frolicking in the woods!
A singer and musician too, I had no idea, good for you! I hope you both enjoyed your musical day!
Take it easy and stay safe, sweetie! ;)

Thank you @griega! I've been battling this back thing for the past couple of months, and had just got to the point I could almost feel nothing bad. Then I had to twist a little funny and blew that healing right out of the water! Oh well.

I've led worship for 20 years and my husband joined in about 15 years ago. I am truly a flautist since I was 10, but have loved singing from the age of 5. I have learned to 'play at playing' several instruments due to necessity, and enjoy the challenge of making it work when needed. Nowadays, my keyboard seems to be my main instrument (it has an orchestra inside it!) I also do bring the flute along now and again, but have never mastered how to play and sing at the same time, lol! I pick my battles with that one. Take care!🎶🤗💜

Oh dear hun! That is unfortunate! I hope you recover faster this time!

Good for you, 20 years! I've nearly always been surrounded by musicians since my teens but apart from jamming the drums a few times with others, once singing Bob Dylan with a bilingual Spanish musician at a small concert (I got the nerve as I'd had a few drinks, lol) and DJing in bars a few years; I haven't much heeded my musical 'calling' unfortunately! Good for you for expressing it, even if you can't quite master playing and singing simultaneously! Take care, sweetie! 🎶🤗💜

I can play the instruments and sing.......just not the flute! You can't blow into it and sing simultaneously, lol! If I ever figure out how to, I will be rich!! Take care Lee!💜🌻🤗
