"Find me" - A Story in 100 Words

The letter was a bit of an old-fashioned touch but some sentiments needed the tangibility of ink and paper to be properly conveyed. After all, the child had questions, so many questions, that would never be answered face to face. At least she could hold the pages and feel something when the fateful day came. It would not replace the lack of contact but under the circumstances, what more could be done?

She placed the pages into the envelope, stuck on the stamp and sent the package on its way.

"If you still want to, please find me..." she whispered.

With stories of this length, I'm never quite sure about where the story would end. I might revisit this from the child's perspective one day (no promises). I tried something new with today' story: I used two random words instead of one. Why? I figured it might help to pull me out of the habit of returning to certain themes over and over. I like how it went this time so I'll probably do that again. Can you guess what the random words were here?

They were 'lack' and 'stamp'.

Peace ☮️.
