Be the tree
Be the air
Be the sky
The sea
Be anything
Live freely
Take hold of bliss
Claim that cosmic kiss
Be the grass
Be the sand
Be the glass
Be the wine
And the water
Be the book
And the author
Leaves, pages
Paper and trees
Birds, blossoms and bees
Be whatever
You choose
To be

This was another poem I wrote in either late 2019 or early 2020 but didn't upload (unless I did but didn't find the post when I checked through my Hive blog in which case, sorry about that). It has to do with shedding the weight of other people's expectations and even your own feelings of powerlessness to decide who you want to be and just be that. I'm still a work in progress in that respect but if I keep moving forward I'll get to where I need to be.
