Every business starts with hustle. It starts with the would-be entrepreneur trying to create something. Over here in Nigeria, most entrepreneur start something do to unavailability of jobs. Give them a stable job with decent salary and the entrepreneurial spirit dies.

Hustle creates momentum. Hustle solves early problems. Hustle keeps things alive when nothing is clear.

However, there is a difference between hustle and business. Your hustle has an expiration date if you do not professionalize it in time.

Hustling is good but can lead to hard work without tangible results. Meanwhile, there is someone somewhere who put the right structure in place and start winning while you do all the hardwork but still stuck in hustle phase.

Signs you’re overdue for structure

• Every decision runs through you. The Boss absence means work stops
• Processes exist only in your head
• Staff depend on memory, not systems
  *You are always tired.

Professionalizing a business feels slow and boring at first. Drafting and putting your first operating procedures might look boring or unnecessary to you. You might feel reluctant to relinquish some power or delegating tasks.

The truth is you need to do this for the business to grow. In order to scale up, control must reduce, you need to delegate and that is the only way for your hustle to turn into a top business.
