My Actifit Report Card: The day I turned a mechanic
I had an eventful day yesterday. I went to check a location with a friend and we were in 2 separate vehicle.
They went ahead because I had to pick up someone along the way. They arrived at the location I assumed not knowing the parked at a nearby filling station waiting for us.
I zoomed past by and they didn't noticed. I got to the location and met their absence. I tried reaching out to them and they confirmed they will be with us shortly.
Shortly turned 20minutes. It's around 5mins drive from the filling station to the location.
That was when I received a call that their Highlander Gear is stucked at Park. It won't move to drive or reverse.
They initially got in contact with a mechanic who asked them series of questions and directed them but they couldn't resolve it.
I called them on WhatsApp call and asked them to switch to rear camera.
There's a little button beside the gear, they only need to open it and insert a screwdriver to manually override the gear lock. They did that and the vehicle was able to move from park to drive.
It was funny because if the mechanic had come, he would have charged them for something little like that.
Truth is I won't blame him, he charged for experience and years of knowledge.
I was able to take a walk down the untarred road before walking acres in the location for inspection and measurements.
I was stressed by the time I got back home and could only shower and relax.

There is nothing worse than being away from home and having your car break down! I experienced that last month and it was not a fun time!
