STREAKS OF THE SUNSET

Catching moments as a budding photographer is a hobby (or perhaps a skill💁) I'm gradually developing. Whether I'm home or at work or on the go, I consciously and unconsciously take shots of moments.

So it comes easy to find myself savouring the red skies when they turn red and observing changes in the natural environment, hoping to catch some on my whatever camera device I have on me - phone or camera.

My bedroom window is usually one of the easiest places for me to catch the sunset as it overlooks the west skies.

And one very usual thing to find these days is the sun hiding in and out of the abundant rain skies as the last rains fall and the hot dry season of the tropics set in.

Here, I initially didn't give it a thought to go on with taking these pictures, especially after the first 2 shots on my digital camera. But then, as the sun went down in the horizon of clouds, vertical streaks of sun rays were cast on the clouds. I felt it was sort of dramatic and so I decided to follow the sun as it set in the distance.

Here were the shots in the sequence as the sun went down:

It's interesting to watch nature pass by and it's features play before mankind. It is truly refreshing to bathe in its splendour and appreciate the sights and sounds of life.
I hope you appreciate life around you too!

Thank you!

there is something therapeutic about watching sunsets.

seems like it releases some oxytocin that promotes relaxation. I don't know. just postulating...

But it would be good to know for sure

Anyhoo

These are absolutely marvelous scenes
