Psylocke Marvel Select
My recently-bought Psylocke Marvel Select
The Marvel Select and Diamond Select brands rarely grace my collection, because I mostly collect DC characters. However, there are nonetheless many interesting Marvel characters, and Diamond Select also has a nice selection of characters from various franchises. I need to feature these figures in future posts.
Betsy Braddock, the sister of Captain Britain Brian Braddock, has always been one of my favorite X-Men characters. She is a mutant ninja who has psychic powers.
I only managed to read a small portion of the X-Men mythos, particularly the 80s run. If I remember correctly, I was an avid reader during the run of Chris Claremont, Jim Lee, Walter Simonson, and Art Adams. I still want a lot of X-Men figures, but I have no intention of completing the line.
As a ninja, Psylocke is of course also proficient with the katana. She can also conjure psychic blades.
Her psychic power manifests as a butterfly-like projection on her face.
Betsy also took the mantle of Captain Britain at one point, and I am interested in reading all about it.
The figure is a bit too-long-legged, though in fairness, it doesn't look too bad.
I am very happy with this piece, particularly because almost all (totally all!) Psylocke releases by Hasbro in its Marvel Legends line do not satisfy my taste. This Marvel Select version was also distasteful to me at one point, but I found that it grew on me, and so I accepted it into the fold.

Psylocke is a member of the X-Men, from Marvel Comics. The figure has two interchangeable heads, and the pink psychic effect is also removable. Thanks for asking!

Nothing happened I think. Just some seduction and fantasizing
They became an item. I remember one funny item in one of the comics I read, that time Jean and Scott cooled off, before they got married, and Psylocke just moved into the mansion. So while Psylocke was walking by and Scott was doing something, Scott stopped what he was doing and ogled Psylocke. Then suddenly Jean appeared out of nowhere and said along the lines of, "So you acquired a new mutant ability when Psylocke is around. Your ability drool is off the charts." Something like that. Then later on the same comics Scott and Betsy were dating and Jean was aware. I think one of them lost their memory or something. I'll look it up again.
I am wrong that they were an item. Scott and Jean were about to be married in 15 months when they flirted. But I do remember they went on dates but that was still when Psylocke was being onboarded to the team. When she became a full member, the dating stopped and she became Warren's gf officially. But I think something happened ahaha
All the sources I've read say Psylocke was unsuccessful in her seduction of Scott. But apparently, she scored with Scott's clones, which IIRC are from an alternative universe. Scott and his clones do get around wherever they are. He's probably the X-Man with the most girls and progeny in all the multiverse.
I think it's implied there something happened. They went out for a ride in Scott's motorcycle 15 days before the wedding. It's a kind of shaking off the zipper blues before getting hitched.
