ABBA's Bang-A-Boomerang

This is another obscure ABBA piece. I say obscure because even if I had known Abba for at least four decades, I only discovered this song on YouTube very recently. Makes me wonder what other obscure songs of theirs are out there.

This is because I (and most other people) have really largely only been exposed to their greatest hits and compilations, which are the only songs of theirs that radio stations play. I have never owned any regular ABBA album with unheard-of (and usually) mediocre songs. One exception is the Super Trouper album, which includes good songs that also haven't been on the charts but are also worth mentioning and posting about. Come to think of it, that entire album is a treasure. Its songs will be featured in this blog in the future.

This one, Bang-A-Boomerang, despite having the same saccharine-sweetened pop tune and lyrics that characterize many of ABBA's songs, nonetheless struck me with its catchiness and upbeat vibe. Thus, it earned the honor of having its own post. Enjoy.
